2008 Cat Hero of
the Year Nominee
Thank you for voting for me
and my mom!
Mom Cathy was one of
the Top Ten finalists in Animal Planet's Cat Hero of the
Year Award. Even though she did not win, Animal Planet wrote a nice story about her:
"Cathy Conheim is the 'cat scribe' and avatar for Henry, a
three-legged cat who has become a true hero for both adults and
children through the message of courage, acceptance, and giving
he has spread throughout the world with his books, emails and
personal appearances." [Read full story in a Word document.]

HENRY GIVES HIS PAW-UP APPROVAL ON A NEW BEHAVIOR BOOK FOR DOGS
If I am the Cat's meow let me tell you about the dog book that will bow Wow you! It's called
The Dog Behavior Answer Book and it is written by one of my favorite pet authors, Arden Moore. The fact that she brought me yummy treats does not influence my literary integrity. You need to go and get this book ASAP if you have a canine in the family. Mom got it and she has already got Dolly dog treating me better. What an endorsement!
I am forever grateful to Arden for helping Dolly's behavior toward me. I pawed through a few of the pages and was amazed at Arden's clever answers on how to get dogs from leaping on you, from barking crazily at the Fed Ex guys, and to stop drinking out of the toilet. Yuck! What more can a guy say? You can get her book (too bad not mine yet) at Amazon.com And by the way, if you love it, write a review for
Amazon. Visit my friend Arden at www.ardenmoore.com. She isn't just into dogs -- thank goodness. She is also the editor of Catnip magazine and her house is managed by two cats, Callie and Murphy, and two cat-obeying dogs, Chipper and Cleo.

YOUNG ARTIST BECOMES A HENRY FAN
While at a book signing event for the world famous San Diego Zoo in October, Henry’s Mom made a new friend. A young man who is a grounds keeper came up to learn of Henry’s story and his mission. After listening intently, he decided he liked the story and told his own. His dream is to become an artist and cartoonist. Mom Cathy was intrigued with his passion and his complete confidence that he would get where he wanted to go. She asked if he might want to create a picture of Henry. In under a month she got an email from Miguel Salvador saying that our patience was now rewarded with a drawing of Henry jm. We wanted to share this picture of this young artists who helps keep the grounds so neat at the San Diego Zoo.
